The Honorable Phyllis Lister Brown, Presiding Judge of the Dallas County 162nd Judicial Court died on May 26th.
On June 27th, the Dallas County Democratic Executive Committee has selected Maricela Moore to be the Democratic candidate in the November General Election for the 162nd Judicial District Court. Gregory Gorman will be the Republican candidate for that bench. In the meantime, Justice Michael J. O'Neill, formally of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals, has been assigned to the 162nd.
